What should one imagine under the term tantra?
The form of tantra we encounter today in Western Europe is strongly influenced by the humanistic therapeutic tradition, which makes it accessible to modern people. Contemporary tantra is primarily the art of practical living, guiding a person toward freedom, happiness, and a fulfilled existence through the recognition and acceptance of oneself and others. One of the central themes of tantric courses is working with sexual energy, which tantra views as the fundamental driving force of human life. When sexual energy is blocked, we lose vitality and joy, feeling tired or disconnected. Through touch, meditation, and various breathing techniques, tantra seeks to release this energy, gradually leading to a fuller and more vibrant sexual life, creativity, and a sense of fulfillment. In our courses, however, we teach not only how to discover one’s sexual needs but also how to communicate them with a partner. People learn to see themselves more lovingly and with greater respect, gaining a new perspective on their body, nudity, and intimacy. They learn to experience touch, closeness, and sexuality more consciously and in harmony with their own truth, free from inner limitations and social taboos.
Who do you recommend tantric massage for?
Tantric massage is a powerful experience for couples who wish to deepen their intimacy, better understand each other, and learn to communicate their needs. However, it can also be recommended to individuals – both men and women – who want to discover the beauty of conscious touch or simply allow themselves to be lovingly cared for. Tantric massage can also be healing. It helps with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, prostate issues, difficulties achieving orgasm, fertility-related challenges, and many other concerns. Whether you seek it for relaxation or its therapeutic effects, you can expect a truly transformative experience.
Why did you decide to establish the Tantric Center?
At the age of twenty, my partner and I completed a two-year tantric training that literally changed my life. I gained a new perspective on relationships, sexuality, and myself. Once I fully understood how healing tantra can be and what it can offer to modern people, I decided to dedicate myself to it completely. I traveled to India – the birthplace of this ancient practice – enrolled in a psychotherapy training, and upon my return, I began teaching tantra myself. Initially, I worked with individuals and couples, and later, together with other teachers, I started leading seminars and professional trainings. At the same time, I studied massage arts and yoga. Tantra gradually became a natural part of my life. During my teaching practice, I encountered the German school of tantric massage, but it felt too superficial to me, so I created my own school – one that combines tantra with body therapy, bioenergetics, and other massage techniques. Today, we have clients from all over the world – from Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, and even Japan. I would say I didn’t so much create the center as simply let it come into being.
Is it better to attend a tantric massage with a partner or alone?
It depends on what you expect from the massage and what you wish to focus on. If you come alone, you can fully surrender to the experience without worrying about your partner’s feelings or distractions. It allows you to focus entirely on yourself and your own sensations. In our center, we offer several tantric massages designed specifically for women, honoring their unique needs. When attending with a partner, certain emotional or relational themes may surface – issues that have been hidden or unspoken. In a safe space, these can be explored and transformed, bringing new energy into the relationship. A shared tantric massage experience can bring deep closeness and connection. So it depends on whether you wish to focus on yourself or your partnership. However, couple’s tantric massage is a vast subject on its own – before you decide to try it, I recommend reading the separate article Tantric Massage for Couples, which explains its specifics and what partners should consider before going for a joint session.
Can anyone learn tantric massage?
For personal and relationship life – absolutely. Many couples decide to learn parts of tantric massage that they can share at home, either as a way to relax after a long week or to connect and enjoy each other. In our School of Tantric Massage, we offer various courses, so everyone can find what suits them best. On a professional level, however, it belongs in the hands of trained experts. A tantric masseur or masseuse must not only master the art of tantric massage but also pass exams in anatomy and hygiene. Personal tantric experience, understanding of tantra philosophy and psychology, and suitable personal qualities are equally important. A professional tantric masseur is a guide who helps clients explore and develop their sexuality, which requires maturity and life experience. Details about the skills and standards expected from tantric practitioners can be found in the Quality Standards of Tantric Massage, which we created to help clients who seek a genuine tantric experience – not just an erotic service disguised as one.
