Professional tantric massage involves more than learning individual massage techniques. You need to develop skills in full-body massage, conscious touch, breathwork and intimate massage techniques, alongside client communication, setting boundaries and creating a safe, professional environment.
That’s why professional training at the TANMAYA® tantra centre in Prague prepares you to work with clients in practice. Alongside hands-on tantric massage training, you learn to respond to different client needs, respect their wishes and boundaries, and gradually gain the confidence to practise independently.
For professional training that takes you from the foundations through to more advanced techniques, you can complete Levels I and II of the TANMAYA® professional tantric massage course. Once you finish the training, you’ll receive a certificate and can begin developing your own practice. Graduates can also apply to work with TANMAYA®.
The professional tantric massage course is designed for women and men who want to practise tantric massage professionally — whether you’re starting a new career, expanding your existing massage services or already offering tantric massage and looking to develop your skills further.
It welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced massage therapists. No previous massage experience is required. The training is adapted to your experience and gradually prepares you not only to practise tantric massage techniques, but also to communicate with clients, respond to their needs and boundaries, and guide the entire massage ritual professionally.
If you already have massage experience, you can focus more of your training on techniques you haven’t yet mastered, intimate massage or other areas relevant to your professional practice.
No. You can take the professional tantric massage course without any previous massage experience. The training introduces each technique step by step, starting with the fundamentals and giving you plenty of time for hands-on practice.
If you already work as a massage therapist or have experience with other types of massage, we can tailor the training to your level. You can then spend more time exploring what’s new to you — specific tantric massage techniques, breathwork and energy work, intimate massage or professional client care.
What matters more than previous experience is a willingness to learn, a sensitive approach to touch and respect for your clients’ boundaries. You’ll develop the knowledge, techniques and practical experience you need throughout your professional training.
You’ll learn to guide a tantric massage from welcoming your client through to bringing the session to a close. You’ll gradually master individual techniques and learn to combine them safely and naturally into a complete tantric massage ritual. The training covers conscious touch, breathwork and pacing, alongside full-body oil massage, warm towel massage, lava stone massage, pressure massage with elements of bioenergetics, and nurturing touch and sensory techniques using soft objects. You’ll also learn intimate techniques, including yoni, lingam, prostate and Rosette massage, with the option to explore some of our signature tantric rituals.
Professional training goes beyond technique. You’ll also learn to lead a conversation before the massage, understand your client’s wishes and needs, establish and respect boundaries, respond to physical and emotional reactions, and create a safe space where your client can relax.
Much of the training is hands-on. Your instructor first demonstrates each technique, then you practise it yourself with feedback. The aim is for you to finish the course with more than an understanding of individual techniques: you’ll develop the skills to work independently and professionally with real clients.
The main difference is how you want to use the skills you learn. A tantric massage course for personal use is designed for individuals and couples who want to explore conscious, sensual touch and massage or intimate techniques primarily to share with a partner and enrich their own intimate lives. You can choose how much you’d like to learn based on your interests.
Professional tantric massage training goes much deeper and prepares you to work with clients. Alongside massage and intimate techniques, you learn to guide a complete massage ritual, communicate with clients, understand their needs, establish and respect boundaries, and adapt each tantric massage to different people and situations.
If you want to enjoy tantric massage primarily within your own relationship, choose one of our courses for personal use. If you want to practise professionally and work with clients, Levels I and II of the TANMAYA® professional training are designed for you.
The training centres on hands-on practice with personalised guidance from an experienced instructor. We first explain each technique and demonstrate it on a male or female massage model. You then practise it yourself, receiving feedback throughout so you can gradually refine your skills.
The course takes you from learning individual techniques to confidently guiding a complete tantric massage on your own. You learn to connect the different parts of the ritual smoothly, adjust the pace and respond to the body’s reactions. Alongside this, you develop your ability to communicate with clients, respect their boundaries and tailor the massage to their individual needs.
Independent practice between lessons is also important for consolidating what you’ve learned. Through teaching, practical training and specific feedback, you gradually gain the confidence needed to work professionally with real clients.
Comprehensive professional training at TANMAYA® involves 80 hours: 40 hours of one-to-one tuition and 40 hours of independent hands-on practice. Combining guided learning with your own practice helps you move beyond simply understanding the techniques to mastering them and developing confidence in your touch.
During the 40 hours of tuition, you’ll work through massage and intimate techniques, learn to guide a complete tantric ritual and develop professional client care skills. The remaining 40 hours are dedicated to practical training, helping you consolidate the techniques and learn to combine them naturally.
For complete professional preparation, we recommend taking both consecutive levels of the TANMAYA® professional tantric massage course — Levels I and II.
Hands-on practice is a core part of professional tantric massage training. The complete TANMAYA® Level I and II programme includes 40 hours of tuition plus 40 hours of independent practical training, allowing you to consolidate your techniques and develop the confidence to work with clients.
You’ll also practise throughout the instructor-led lessons. Your instructor demonstrates each technique before you try it on a male or female massage model. You receive immediate feedback on your touch, pressure, pacing, bodywork and the way you perform each technique.
Professional training is centred on practical work with your hands, rather than theory alone. The aim is to give you the opportunity to see every new technique, try it yourself and continue refining it through repeated practice between lessons.
You don’t need to find your own massage model. For your professional training sessions, we can arrange male and female models from the TANMAYA® massage team. This gives you the opportunity to learn and practise on people who know tantric massage well and can offer feedback from the perspective of receiving it.
During your training, we recommend practising on a variety of male and female models. Every body responds differently. Working with different people teaches you to adapt your pressure, pace, techniques and the overall flow of a tantric massage to each client — an essential skill for professional practice.
For independent hands-on practice between lessons, you can also work with your own volunteer models. This broadens your experience of different bodies, responses and needs, helping you gradually become more confident in guiding a complete tantric massage.
Yes. Intimate massage techniques are an important part of professional tantric massage training. You’ll learn yoni, lingam, prostate and rosette massage techniques, as well as how to work with the pelvic floor and sexual energy.
The training goes beyond technique. You’ll also learn how to discuss the intimate part of a massage with your client beforehand, obtain their consent, respect their boundaries and respond sensitively to physical and emotional reactions that may arise during a tantric massage.
Your instructor demonstrates each intimate technique before you practise it under expert guidance. The aim is to help you perform these techniques not only correctly, but above all safely, respectfully and with the confidence needed to work professionally with clients.
Yes. The professional tantric massage course is also suitable for therapists with experience in classic, relaxation, wellness or other massage techniques. Your existing experience is an advantage: you can draw on your skills and focus on the aspects of tantric massage that are new to you.
We can tailor the training to your experience, with greater emphasis on conscious and sensory touch, breathwork and sexual energy, intimate yoni and lingam massage, prostate or rosette massage, or other techniques you’d like to bring into your professional practice.
The training also covers the distinctive approach to client care in tantric massage — discussing wishes and boundaries, working sensitively with intimacy and guiding the complete ritual. Even experienced massage therapists can expand their repertoire and offer a wider range of services to both existing and new clients.
Yes. After successfully completing the TANMAYA® professional tantric massage course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion confirming the scope and content of your training.
The certificate documents that you have completed professional tantric massage training at TANMAYA®, including the required tuition and hands-on practice.
For comprehensive professional training, you can complete the consecutive Levels I and II of the professional tantric massage course, covering the full range of techniques and skills needed for professional practice.
Yes. Graduates of our professional tantric massage training can apply to work with the TANMAYA® massage centre in Prague. If you’re interested in becoming a professional tantric massage therapist, training with us can also be a first step towards a possible future working relationship.
However, completing the tantric massage course does not automatically guarantee a place on our team. When selecting massage therapists, we consider practical skills, client care, communication, reliability and the ability to work in line with TANMAYA®’s quality standards and ethical principles.
