Our instructor and masseuse Anna spoke on Czech Radio 1 about couple and four-hand tantric massages. You’ll discover who these massages are intended for, what to expect from them, how they can influence your relationship, and other essential information. The interview was broadcast in January 2012.

Interviewer: “You’re listening to Czech Radio. I’m Zdeněk Eška, and with me today is Anna from Tantra Massage Prague s.r.o. Good afternoon.”
Anna Š.: “Good afternoon.”
Interviewer: “Tell us, how can one recognize a high-quality tantric massage?”
Anna Š.: “A quality tantric massage can be recognized by the overall level of the center, the education, and the qualifications of the masseurs. You can usually tell this just by looking at their website – whether they provide educational content, explain their methods, and share the philosophy behind tantric massage.”
Interviewer: “It sounds like you know your field very well, Anna. Does a person need to have some sort of certification for that?”
Anna Š.: “Every tantric masseur or masseuse must, in addition to a standard accredited course, also hold a certificate confirming their tantric massage education – and ideally, they should complete long-term self-experience trainings in tantra.”
Interviewer: “I’ve also heard that tantric massage can help improve relationships – so-called couple tantric massage. What is it exactly?”
Anna Š.: “Couple tantric massage, which we also offer, is designed for partners, even if they’re not experiencing any issues in their relationship. Essentially, it helps deepen their bond because they go through the experience together. During the session, both a male and a female therapist are present, working on releasing physical tension or emotional stress. Since the partners share this experience, it can also help them relax and open up toward each other.”
Interviewer: “And how does it actually work? Do they lie side by side or hold hands?”
Anna Š.: “Most often, they’re massaged in the same room. They can hold hands if they wish – or not, it’s entirely up to them. We don’t impose any expectations in that regard. If the couple prefers, they can be massaged separately, but in that case, the therapeutic effect is not as strong as when they share the deep and intimate experience together.”
Interviewer: “We’ve also received a listener’s question – what exactly is a four-hand massage?”
Anna Š.: “A four-hand massage is a tantric massage in which the receiver – as we call them – is massaged by two therapists at the same time. The effect is enhanced because the physical contact is more intense and takes place over a larger surface area. The four-hand tantric massage is inspired mainly by Ayurvedic techniques, so the emphasis is on symmetry and harmony throughout the ritual.”
